NAALE
The Youth Village Hadassah Neurim accepts participants for the “NAALE” program conducted by Jewish Agency and the Ministry of Education for 15–16-year-old teenagers who immigrate to Israel without their parents.
The program was founded in 1992 and since then over ten thousand boys and girls have participated in it. About 90% of them stayed in Israel and about 50% of their parents immigrated to Israel as well.
These teenagers arrived in Israel without their parents, and they stay in the village all year round. In July the students go to visit their parents in their countries of origin.
The project accepts girls and boys who have passed psychological tests and admission interviews. They arrive in Israel in the summer before the 10th grade school year. The decision on the boarding school where they will study is made with the parents before the children immigrate to Israel.
The students of the project live in a separate group in a boarding school with native Russian speaking staff. The students participate in all the social activities at the boarding school, in addition to the set of informal activities that are special to the NAALE project.
